» » Three-year-old Call of Duty: Black Ops II still has 12 million players a month

Want to feel old? Call of Duty: Black Ops II is three years old. Want to feel, I don't know, surprised? Impressed? That "huh" feeling when you learn a moderately interesting but not too interesting or at all valuable piece of information?
Buried in Activision's earnings report and overshadowed by things like the company buying the Candy Crush developer for six god damn billion dollars, Call of Duty fan siteCharlie Intel found the following:
"On November 6, 2015, Activision Publishing expects to release the highly anticipatedCall of Duty: Black Ops III from its award-winning studio, Treyarch. Momentum ahead of launch has been strong and engagement for Call of Duty: Black Ops II grew quarter-over-quarter again to nearly 12 million MAUs, an unprecedented level for a game that is three years old and only available on old-generation consoles."
No wonder Black Ops III is still coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 without the single-player. And that 12 million November is up from 11 million in August, so the upcoming Black Ops III is building even more hype for its 2012 predecessor.
